Bam-e-duniya
Or The Roof of the World. This is the name given centuries ago to the Pamir Knot in Central Asia. In this photograph, taken on a flight from Tashkent to Bishkek, is seen the Pamir Knot in the foreground and the Kuen Lun, the Tien Shan, the Aghil, the Muztagh or the Karakorum, and a bit of the Himalaya in the far distance meeting to make this knot.
