Karakorum Range 
 
Arganlas peak 6935 m above the Shyok Valley in Ladakh. The massive Karakorum range starts a few kms to the right of this peak from the big U bend of the Shyok river. The is also , called Muztagh - or ice range, which is a more correct name, as Karakorum means black rock or gravel, which is seen only in a few parts of this majestic group of mountains.
