WW II USAF plane in a Morni School
During WW II many airstrips were made in Assam to take planes over The Hump- i.e. the Patkai range - to Burma. This is a stripped relic from the past at an old air base, which is now Morni Sainik School in Goalpara distt., Assam, N.E. India.This is Pratt & Whitney powered North American NA-16-3 known as "Texan" too. It was a single seat fighter (P 64) or a 2 seater trainer (NA 50).
